Tabi Fritz Oben is an Associate Professor in Agricultural Land Resources Evaluation and Management at the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences, University of Dschang, Republic of Cameroon. He graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (BSc (Agric), M.Sc Agronomy (Soil Science), and Ph.D. Agronomy (Soil Science). Fritz was postdoctoral research fellow with the Department of Crop Science, University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana, under the African Climate Change Fellowship Program (ACCFP). Fritz has served in different capacities in both national and international academic/research institutions. His research interests are focused on diagnosing soil fertility constraints in different agro-ecological zones, quantification of soil variability in the landscape, soil quality, evaluation of land resources, land use planning and modelling cropping systems. Presently, he is interested in using modelling and geographic information systems (GIS) to integrate pedo-climatic, socio-economic information and ecological processes in land evaluation and to guide decision-making in agricultural land use planning.
